Another Selection Sunday has come and gone and another two hours of my life have been devoted to watching names of college basketball programs populate a bracket. Since the event is relatively unknown and lacking much media coverage*, you can expect The Writings' take on the tournament soon. Things I thought I heard (not sure) when they explained how some were selected and others not:
"Head-to-head thing near end of season can have a big influence."
"Early season match-ups that are not strong can be the difference."
Come on, guys, which is it?
Oh, and "how the coaches vote can have a big input."
After listening to their commentary, in summary, "if we don't want them in, we'll find a way. And if we want them in, we'll find that way."
Still, I wouldn't want to be the one who decided......
